What Volnewmer® is.
Volnewmer® is an FDA-approved monopolar radiofrequency device manufactured by the Korean company Classys, which stimulates the production of collagen and elastin deep within the skin whilst simultaneously tightening the skin’s structure.
Whilst older RF devices such as Thermage Using short energy pulses and gas cooling, Volnewmer® supplies the energy continuously and cools the skin's surface with water at the same time. This makes the treatment much more comfortable — without anaesthetic cream — and ensures precise, even heat distribution in the dermis. The device operates with such precision that it is also suitable for thin skin around the eyes and cheeks can be used safely.
We introduced Volnewmer® to Switzerland in May 2025 — as the first clinic in the country to do so. Important to note regarding its effects: Volnewmer® is primarily about volume restoration and collagen stimulation, not „just a lift". This makes it an alternative for anyone who no longer wants fillers, but wants to restore the skin’s structural quality.

AURA 3D, Consultancy and Design.
During the free AURA 3D skin analysis and consultation, we assess your skin quality, volume and any asymmetries. This forms the basis for your personalised plan: full face, neck, décolletage or a combination.
Cleansing, treatment, Dermalux™, mask.
The skin is cleansed and prepared with a contact gel. Volnewmer® uses continuous water cooling — you’ll feel warmth, not a sharp pain. No anaesthetic cream is required. Followed by Dermalux™ LED phototherapy, a customised mask and SPF 50 — with a full-face treatment plus head massage.
Immediate lift. Build-up over 6 months.
Immediate firming due to collagen contraction straight after the session. The full effect develops over 3 to 6 months through neocollagen synthesis. No downtime — you’re ready to go out straight away. Maintenance 1–2 times a year, depending on age and skin condition.

Does Volnewmer® hurt when applied to the face?
Volnewmer® is well tolerated — you’ll feel warmth and a slight pulsing sensation, not a sharp pain. The continuous water cooling protects the skin’s surface. Unlike older RF devices such as Thermage is no anaesthetic cream required.

How many Volnewmer® sessions will I need?
Usually, that's enough one meeting a year for maximum results. In cases of more severe sagging, we recommend 1–2 sessions at 6-month intervals.
Maintenance 1–2 times a year depending on your age and skin type — we determine your personal routine during the AURA 3D consultation.

How long will the downtime last?
No downtime. You may experience slight redness for a few hours. You can get on with your daily routine straight after the session — but please avoid exercise, saunas and intense heat for 24 hours.

When will I see the first results?
Instant lifting effect due to collagen contraction immediately after the session. The full effect develops over 3 to 6 months through neocollagen synthesis.

How much does Volnewmer® facial treatment cost at alestetics® in Zurich?
Volnewmer® is charged per number of shots. The following packages apply to alestetics®:
- Face + Neck + Décolleté — 1,000 shots, including Dermalux™ and a head massage CHF 2,500
- Entire face — 600 shots, including Dermalux™ and a head massage CHF 1,600
- Neck — 200 shots CHF 700
- cleavage — 200–300 shots from CHF 700

Is Volnewmer® safe for use around the eyes and for drooping eyelids?
Yes — Volnewmer® works precisely and safely, even on delicate eyelid skin, thanks to its special eye tip. It is one of the few non-surgical options available for slightly drooping eyelids and Lower eyelid ptosis can bring about a noticeable improvement.
We assess suitability on a case-by-case basis using the AURA 3D skin analysis — in cases of significant sagging, surgery may be the better option.

What is the difference between Volnewmer® and Thermage?
Both devices use monopolar radio frequency, but the technology behind them is different.
Thermage delivers RF energy in short pulses with gas cooling — most patients require Anaesthetic cream.
Volnewmer® works with continuous energy output and continuous water cooling — without anaesthetic cream, for a more even effect in the dermis. We chose Volnewmer® because, at a comparable depth, it is significantly more comfortable for the client.

Can I combine Volnewmer® with Botox or dermal fillers?
Yes — with at least 4 weeks apart with freshly injected fillers. The order matters: Volnewmer® builds structure and volume, whilst Botox and fillers are applied to the already firmed-up base.
We assess each case individually regarding permanent fillers in the treatment area — we will discuss this during the consultation.
