What skin quality actually is
Skin quality is more than just «no wrinkles». An international expert panel of dermatologists has identified in 2021 what people recognize as good skin – across all skin types – based on four characteristics: even skin tone, an even surface, firmness, and glow.
The important thing here is that these four characteristics do not only appear on the surface; they also depend on deeper layers – collagen, moisture in the dermis, and an intact barrier. That’s why creams alone often aren’t enough. That’s how we work: in layers.
The four characteristics of good skin

What does skin quality mean?
Skin quality describes how healthy, fresh, and even the skin looks – regardless of wrinkles. Professionals describe it by four characteristics: even complexion, smooth surface, firmness, and glow.
How can I improve my skin quality?
With good care and daily SPF 50 as a base – and with treatments that work deeper: active ingredients in the skin (for example Fillmed NCTF® or PolyPhil™), energy for collagen (for example LaseMD Ultra™), and deep cleansing (HydraFacial™). Which combination is suitable is shown by the AURA 3D skin analysis.
What helps against dull skin?
Dull skin usually has several causes: too little moisture, a rough surface that absorbs the light, or thinner skin. A HydraFacial™ immediately has an effect. A series with LaseMD Ultra™ or Fillmed NCTF® lasts longer.
How long does it take for the skin condition to improve?
You can see the glow after a HydraFacial™ immediately. In treatments that build collagen and density, changes usually appear after two to three sessions – that is, after about two to three months.
Can the skin regenerate again?
Yes, the skin renews itself continuously – but at a slower rate over the years. Treatments such as lasers, microneedling, or polynucleotides provide targeted stimulation to help the skin rebuild more collagen.
What is a Skin Booster?
A skin booster delivers active ingredients directly into the skin to improve hydration, density, and glow – without adding volume. Our products include PolyPhil™ (polynucleotides) and Fillmed NCTF® (mesotherapy with 59 active ingredients).
What role do nutrition and drinking play?
An important but limited measure. Adequate sleep, a balanced diet, no smoking and sun protection keep the skin healthy. However, they cannot replace the collagen and density loss that occurs with age alone.
How much does a treatment for better skin quality cost?
